TDApp is a tool which enables patients and their families to engage in ADHD treatment decision-making.<\/p>\n

TDApp provides information on ADHD, including available treatments and their adverse side effects. It enables patients and their doctor to specify the goals they want to achieve with treatment. TDApp then uses this information to identify the medication most likely to achieve these goals.<\/p>\n

Therapeutic recommendations can be updated on TDApp and adapted to a patient\u2019s characteristics and preferences.<\/p>\n

Clinical decisions should ideally be based on integrating the best scientific evidence with the patient’s and clinician experience and values.<\/p>\n

Clinical Practice Guidelines are a set of clinical recommendations based on scientific research, and are very important in clinical decision-making. Nevertheless, Clinical Practice Guidelines have limitations. Firstly, as new studies are published periodically, many Clinical Practice Guidelines contain recommendations that become quickly outdated after publication.<\/p>\n

Another limitation is that Clinical Practice Guidelines are often very general, and therefore not directly applicable to many patients.<\/p>\n

A final limitation of the Clinical Practice Guidelines is that they limit patients\u2019 participation or that of their families in the clinical discussion.<\/p>\n

TDApp is a tool that generates automated treatment recommendations based on up-to-date scientific evidence. These recommendations take into account the characteristics of the patient and incorporate both the patient\u2019s and the clinician\u2019s preferences regarding the efficacy and safety of treatment. TDApp is designed to be used by people with ADHD.<\/p>\n

TDApp aims to 1) improve patients\u2019 and\/or parents\u2019 knowledge of ADHD and the medications available for its treatment, 2) bring the patient and the clinician closer to formulating recommendations for treatment, 3) adapt recommendations for treatment to the patient characteristics in order to achieve the goals selected by the patient and their doctor, and 4) make updated recommendations by incorporating the results of the latest studies.<\/p>\n

Once you are familiar with this information, on the next visit we will ask you to indicate your preferences<\/a>\u00a0 regarding the goals you want to achieve with treatment, and any side effects of the treatment you do not want to experience. To do this, we will ask you to rate a series of goals and side effects in order of importance from 1 (not important at all) to 9 (absolutely essential.<\/p>\n

It is very important that you discriminate the importance you give to each goal and side effect, as this enables TDApp to recommend the treatment that best suits your preferences.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Estem desenvolupant TDApp que \u00e9s una eina per facilitar la participaci\u00f3 dels pacients i els seus familiars en la presa de decisions sobre el tractament del TDAH.<\/p>

TDApp proporciona informaci\u00f3 sobre el TDAH, els tractaments disponibles i els seus efectes adversos, i permet que les persones amb TDAH, juntament amb el seu metge, especifiquin les seves prefer\u00e8ncies pel que fa als objectius que volen assolir amb el tractament. Amb aquesta informaci\u00f3, TDApp identifica els medicaments que tenen major probabilitat per assolir els objectius desitjats.<\/p>

TDApp permet que les recomanacions terap\u00e8utiques estiguin actualitzades i que s'adaptin a les caracter\u00edstiques i prefer\u00e8ncies dels pacients.<\/p>

Idealment, les decisions cl\u00edniques s'han de prendre a partir de la integraci\u00f3 de les millors proves cient\u00edfiques amb l'experi\u00e8ncia cl\u00ednica i els valors del pacient. Les guies de pr\u00e0ctica cl\u00ednica s\u00f3n unes eines molt importants per ajudar en la presa de decisions cl\u00edniques ja que recullen un conjunt de recomanacions cl\u00edniques raonades a partir de l'an\u00e0lisi dels estudis disponibles.<\/p>

Tanmateix, les guies de pr\u00e0ctica cl\u00ednica presenten limitacions. En primer lloc, com que peri\u00f2dicament es publiquen nous estudis, moltes guies de pr\u00e0ctica cl\u00ednica contenen recomanacions que estan obsoletes al cap de poc temps de la seva publicaci\u00f3.<\/p>

Una altra limitaci\u00f3 \u00e9s que les recomanacions de les guies de pr\u00e0ctica cl\u00ednica sovint s\u00f3n molt generals i per tant no s\u00f3n directament aplicables a molts pacients.<\/p>

Una \u00faltima limitaci\u00f3 de les Guies de Pr\u00e0ctica Cl\u00ednica \u00e9s que la participaci\u00f3 dels pacients o els seus familiars \u00e9s encara limitada.<\/p>

TDApp \u00e9s una eina que podria solucionar aquests problemes.<\/p>

TDApp \u00e9s una eina que genera recomanacions terap\u00e8utiques automatitzades, basades en evid\u00e8ncies cient\u00edfiques actualitzades, adaptades a les caracter\u00edstiques del pacient i que incorpora les prefer\u00e8ncies del pacient i el cl\u00ednic pel que fa a l'efic\u00e0cia i la seguretat del tractament. TDApp s'ha dissenyat per a ser utilitzada per persones amb TDAH.<\/p>

TDApp t\u00e9 per objectius 1) millorar el coneixement dels pacients o els seus pares sobre el TDAH i els medicaments disponibles per al seu tractament, 2) apropar el pacient i el cl\u00ednic a la formulaci\u00f3 de recomanacions terap\u00e8utiques, 3) que les recomanacions terap\u00e8utiques s'adaptin a les caracter\u00edstiques del pacient i es dirigeixin a assolir els objectius seleccionats pel pacient i el seu metge, i 4) realitzar recomanacions actualitzades perqu\u00e8 incorporen els resultats dels darrers estudis.<\/p>

Per aconseguir aquests objectius, TDApp 1) proporciona informaci\u00f3 sobre el TDAH i les intervencions terap\u00e8utiques farmacol\u00f2giques, 2) permet que el pacient, juntament amb el metge, pugui decidir quines s\u00f3n les seves prefer\u00e8ncies pel que fa al benefici que es vol aconseguir i els efectes adversos que no vol presentar, i 3) utilitza la informaci\u00f3 sobre els medicaments per al tractament del TDAH d'una base de dades que est\u00e0 constantment actualitzada.<\/p>
